Covid-19 Hiring Update:  

We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore all options.

What You'll Do
  • Own end-to-end human resources function, employee development, compensation, and legal compliance including but not limited to payroll processing using Gusto, administration of all benefit vendors, and preparing reports to CEO/CFO on actual to budget variances.  
  • Analyze company compensation and benefits to market and make recommendations to CEO/CFO prior to annual renewal (~November).
  • Serve as our thought-leader on all employee-related matters, including the development of organizational structure and enablement of goals and objectives across the business
  • Oversight and development of global footprint and enabling a well-connected and culturally unified team across locations.
  • Facilitate corporate events online and in-person that increase the corporate culture of Maestro as defined by the Founder and CEO.  Support department heads and other leads to create and administer activities that foster team unity and collaboration.  
  • Lead talent acquisition by managing Maestro’s hiring and onboarding processes in collaboration with business unit leaders. Hire within the budget set in advance of recruitment beginning with CEO and CFO.  Inform CEO and CFO of any deviation from the budget prior to offer.
  • Run our performance management process, including goal setting and performance assessment, feedback and training processes
  • Manage all elements of HR compliance, including training and investigation and resolution of workplace disputes.
  • Contribute strategic initiatives, including long-term organizational planning and executive and key-person development
What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of human resources experience in the tech space
  • Desire to take on challenges and help shape a fast-growing organization
  • Experience growing a remote / hybrid-remote team
  • Collaborative work style and ability to work cross-functionally and support teams throughout the organization structure
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment, wage, and salary laws and regulations.  Global experience in Canada, EU or Latin America is a plus
  • Strong understanding of how to structure and operate compensation and benefit programs
  • Ability to resolve employee disputes successfully and professionally
