Sales and Marketing

We are seeking a seasoned CRO to lead the further expansion of the business and develop a best in class sales organization to help us scale. The CRO will be responsible for designing and building both short-term success as well as long-term sales and business strategy in order to accelerate the engine of growth across all segments and functions. The ideal candidate has experience in building systems of growth in mid-stage startup companies and ramping them up, preferably with specific experience in selling SaaS and/or streaming or video products.

Reporting to the CEO, the mission of the CRO will be to develop a world class sales team and optimize the sales function to drive new bookings and revenue. The CRO will serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO and senior management team and be a key contributor to the Company’s growth initiatives and strategy.

What You'll Do
  • Develop growth strategies with the executive team.
  • Oversee all revenue generating activities – direct sales, partner sales, performance marketing, and customer success.
  • Coach and develop the sales team to autonomously execute on vision and to achieve on performance objectives
  • Drive operational excellence at every stage of the sales funnel/cycle.
  • Develop and implement company specific sales methodologies, territory and team structure, quota and commission plans, opportunity management, forecasting, pricing strategies, and pipeline management and reporting
  • Data-drive decisions with strong analytical reasoning power and A/B test constantly to iterate
  • Support in building effective sales & marketing materials
  • Work openly and intensely with the rest of the delivery and support teams to ensure the overall success of the business.
  • Be accountable for results, focusing on both long- and short-term strategies; take responsibility for accurate forecasting and meeting/exceeding agreed upon sales and revenue targets.
What You'll Bring
  • 15+ years of successful sales leadership with experience scaling and managing all aspects of the sales function.
  • A proven track record of over achieving against sales targets and securing sales within new customer accounts
  • Experience creating, defining and operationalizing go-to-market strategies and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Experience building and managing direct, channel, and inside sales teams selling into both SMB and enterprise customers
  • Seasoned executive with experience building models, conducting scenario and sensitivity analysis, and reporting against models
  • Experience presenting to company board as well as prospective and existing investors
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through new product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships
  • The ability to utilize and direct pre-sales, consulting and technology resources to match propositions to customer requirements
  • Logical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial awareness of trends and opportunities within business to consumer industries as well as the digital marketing marketplace
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
